I+ME ACTIA has resolved to follow the
voluntary WEEE (Waste of Electronic and
Electrical Equipment) directive regarding
the correct methods of disposing of
de-commissioned equipment.
We are being made aware of increasingly
serious environmental problems. With these
in mind we are consequently
de-commissioning, reusing components and
correctly disposing of waste in an
environmentally satisfactory method.
The de-commissioned I+ME products returned
for re-cycling, are sorted into categories,
and are separately evaluated. Components
are sorted into groups such as “usable as
spare part”, “material to be recycled”, or
“material to be disposed of”.
After assessment the equipment will be
dismantled into its elements, and
appropriately correctly packed to be
stored for reuse or to be correctly
disposed of. The components are
subsequently collected by an accredited
recycling company, and recycled or
scrapped.
We have taken great care in the selection
of our partners. Each one is an accredited
organisation and at minimum carries the
DIN EN ISO 14001:2005 /9001:2000
certification.
After recycling, a declaration statement
is issued, as requested in the WEEE
directive. These statements deem as proof
of the correct recycling process.
Together with the actual physical
recycling process, we also declare the
weight of the scrapped material to the
E.A.R (Electronic old parts register), so
that the commercial and logistic part can
also be correctly implemented.
We believe that is a good basis for the
correct and sensible handling of existing
resources and to guarantee their long term
availability.
The recycling processes
require organisation, management and
therefore costs.
We commit ourselves to competently recycle
and dispose of old equipment at no cost to
our customers.
